  • June 20th 2008

    • The team spent a month building its newest robot, Professor Chaos, a 120lb bot with a deadly single tooth vertical spinning disk. We competed at Robogames 2008 winning first place undefeated! A monumental achievement for a robots first competition!!

  • October 29th 2007

    • WPI Combat Robotics attended NERC and Franklin Institutes Robot Conflict 2007 and had a very strong showing.

    • Brian Benson competed with the 30lber Billy Bob and Sportsman Gnome Portal. He came away with first place, decisively winning each match with a knock out.

    • Paul Ventimiglia attended with his new 12lber Ntertainment. He also won first place undefeated and was awarded the Franklin Institute's Innovation and Design Award, The 2007 Franklin Cup.


  • October 9th 2007

    • The survey and its results are now available. You can find the survey here. The results of the survey can be found here.

    • Results were very divided between the options of building one 120lb robot, one 12/15lb robot, or many 12/15lb robots. Because a majority choose some version of building a smaller robot that will probably be the path we take. However further discussion and voting will be necessary before a final decision is reached.  An online survey will be created shortly for those that could not make it to the meeting but would like to contribute.


  • October 4th 2007

    • We held our first meeting and it was a great success. A total of 20 members attended. The presentation was led with a power point. The sport, events, past projects, and possible directions the team could go were proposed. A survey was passed out to get input from the group. Results of the survey will be posted shortly.
